This GainSpan-RenesasG14 Wi-Fi Sensor ADK is a sensor reference application that works with the GainSpan Wi-Fi module mounted on the Renesas RL78G14 RDK. The Wi-Fi sensor application allows LEDs on the Renesas RDK board to be turned on/off using an iOS or Android-based smartphone or tablet and displays the temperature, light and spatial orientation sensed by the sensors on the RDK board. This ADK provides a complete suite of mobile application source code and embedded and mobile platform APIs to greatly ease, and shorten, development time. This ADK consists of RL78G14 RDK, the GainSpan embedded firmware application, Renesas host application code and mobile application source code.
The Renesas Demonstration Kit (RDK) for RL78G14 is an evaluation and demonstration tool for Renesas RL78 microcontrollers. To aid in the evaluation of the RL78 family of microcontrollers, Renesas includes IAR's Embedded Workbench Kickstart Edition, which allows for up to 16KB of application code to be implemented on the RL78G14 RDK. To facilitate programming the RDK, the IAR tools support the Renesas TK Debugger which is on-board the RL78G14 RDK.
The GS-ADK-RenesasG14TLAS-WEB includes the RL78G14 RDK. GainSpan currently offers 2 variations of the GainSpan-Renesas Wi-Fi sensor ADKs:
