WPG Americas to Distribute GainSpan Low Power Embedded Wi-Fi Solutions in the Americas

San Jose, CA — August 23, 2011 — GainSpan Corporation, a leading developer of ultra-low power embedded Wi-Fi solutions, and WPG Americas, Inc., today announced a strategic distribution partnership whereby WPG Americas will sell GainSpan's complete line of low power Wi-Fi products in the Americas. WPG Americas, based in San Jose, CA, is a member of WPG Holdings, the world's third largest electronics distributor.

Under the agreement, WPG Americas will distribute, sell and service GainSpan's ultra-low power Wi-Fi Chips, Modules, and Evaluation Kits. GainSpan products address market demand for low power and low-cost Wi-Fi connectivity, and are designed for applications such as Smart Energy, Healthcare, and control and monitoring in industrial, commercial and residential markets.
