Its high level of chip integration and advanced power management techniques reduce power consumption significantly - without compromising Wi-Fi compatibility. Offering one of the lowest power idle states available as well as a "fast wake-up" architecture, the GS1011 a perfect match for low power multi-year battery life applications.

A true single chip solution, it features a media access controller (MAC), baseband processor, a network processor, on-chip flash memory and SRAM, radio and power amplifier in a single package. It is easily integrated into nearly any system.

The GainSpan GS1011 provides a highly scalable, reliable, manageable and secure wireless link for embedded applications and wireless sensor networks, to connect to widely available IEEE 802.11b/g/n (Wi-Fi) access points.
